Ariana Gallery - Black History Month

The Ariana Gallery in Royal Oak is honoring February's Black History Month with a series of speakers, artists and a selection of genuine  African art, masks and figurines from across the continent that are available for sale.

Check her website for updates or sign up for their gallery newsletter.

More Ariana Gallery News: In conjunction with the new Royal Oak Arts Commission, gallery owner, Anne Kuffler,  was interviewed by three news outlets.

One article gave her the title "Lion Queen" because of the  attention getting "Trashformation"  sculpture by Keith Coleman that's in front of her store. The welded art lion is made from recycled water tanks.

Maxine  Gardner and  ArtfulVision.com

Artful Vision, is an online gallery started by local artist Maxine Gardner.  What sets Artful Vision apart is that the American artists, musicians and authors who participate contribute 20% of each item's sale price to support a participating worthy cause of the customer's choice. With no upfront fees, this innovative approach to fundraising with creative products made in the USA, is a great opportunity for artists to show up to 100 pieces with no risk. Artful Vision charges commission on net sales only.

Prices range from $5 for notecards up to $5,000 for a hand made kayak.  To highlight variety rather than volume, Artful Vision is juried, so the artworks stands out, rather than getting lost.

Maxine is looking to add more artists. Here are the  submission guidelines and answers to frequently asked question.
