Paint A Miracle - Television Spot  and Luncheon

IACT logo - 590-wideI/ACT member Cynthina Buchanan of Rochester's Paint A Miracle Art Studio 
let us know that Mitch Albom was doing a story about their studio as a part of his Heart of Detroit broadcast.

  The first segment aired last night  (Feb 23rd), with a second segment today on WDIV. This is truly inspiring - please take a few minutes to watch this if you can.

Also, their spring luncheon fundraiser will be held on Monday May 7th and tickets will be available soon!  They are located at: 400 Water St, LL4, Rochester, MI 48307 and their Phone # is 248.652.2702.     

Belian Art Center - Abstract Exhibit by Zabel Belian

The Belian Art Center where (we hold our monthly meetings)  currently has an exhibit of vibrantly colored paintings and mixed media creations by Zabel Belian.

The painting displayed at the right is an example of the beautiful and inspiring artwork on exhibit and for sale.  (The sculpture is by internationally renowned artist Richard Hunt.)    


The Belian Art Center also offers classes for all ages about painting and watercolor art techniques.  For more information, go to the Belian Art Center website.  

Novi Home/Garden  - Updates

We still need as many volunteers as possible to staff the event and help with the setup and takedown of the exhibit.  (Show schedule below.)

This is a great opportunity for non-artists who want to volunteer or hope to get experience for future show events!

Some reminders:

1) I/ACT receives of 10% on all artwork sold at the event.   (to defray expenses for signage, flyers, etc.)

2) This is a juried show and artworks will be selected based on how well they fit or enhance with the overall theme of the show. 

3) Artists are encouraged to donate one piece of artwork for  various giveaways to help increase I/ACT & artist database. 

4) If possible, please provide a website where we can view your work (or upload images to the yahoo group).     

5) Artists must be available to help with set up, take down and staffing the booths.

The  Home and Garden Show that will feature an amazing display of fresh flowers and creative landscaping ideas! Attendance and sales are up from previous years!

Show Hours:
Friday, March 30    2 - 9 Saturday,
March 31     11AM - 9PM Sunday,
April 1    11AM - 6PM

Please plan on being at the show to sell your own art for at least a few hours everyday. We need a crew (artists or non-artists)to help us install grid walls, etc on these days:

Tuesday, March 27;
Wednesday, March 28,
Thursday March 29

Take down is after the show ends on Sunday or on Mon April 2nd.

We need hosts/hostesses to be at our booth table at all times to answer consumers' questions, etc.
