Planning Meeting: Novi Home Show 

Date:          Tuesday, March 13, 2012
Time:         1:30 pm
Location:    Belian Art Center 5980 Rochester Rd, Troy MI 48085
                   (SE corner of Rochester Rd & Square Lake Rd)
Where to Park:  (Except for handicapped.) Please park behind the building or at the very south end of the bank parking lot.

Deadline for Artist Applications:  Now extended to Tues March 13th.  Bring your $25 check payable to NWCF - I/ACT Fund to the   meeting if you would like to be considered for participation.
Reminder for Exhibitors - Please provide Linda Shears with:   
1) Your Cell Phone Number

2)  The number of tables and gridwalls you expect to need to display your art.  The tables are rectangular or round.  The gridwalls are 2 feet wide and 6 fee tall. (Click here for gridwall photos.)

Additional Info about the Show:
3) Our booth will measure 60 x 60 feet and will run from #1617 to #1827. Refer the attached printable floor plan of the exhibitor hall for some perspective.

4) We need hosts/hostesses to be at our booth table at all times to answer consumers' questions, etc. Additional helpers are needed to work with the children's mural and to help with art sales.

5) I/ACT receives of 10% on all artwork sold at the event (to defray expenses for signage, flyers, etc.).

6) This is a juried show and artworks will be selected based on how well they fit or enhance with the overall theme of the show. 

7) Become a fan the Builders' Association's facebook page for tips and information about the show.

8) Review the  "Exhibitor's Kit" web page of the Builders' Industry Association Home Improvement and Garden Show for more information and sales ideas.

9) There is a 3 day parking pass for the event which runs approximately $7. Exhibitors will have to pay for parking.

Show Hours:
Fri:       Mar 30    2pm   - 9pm
Sat:      Mar 31    11am - 9pm
Sun:     April 1    11am - 6pm

Please plan on being at the show to sell your own art for at least a few hours everyday.  We also need volunteers to help with the children's chalk art mural project.

Setup Days:
Tues March 27,    Wed, March 28,    Thurs March 29

We need a crew (artists or non-artists) to help us install gridwalls, etc on the setup days.

Takedown Days:
After show ends on:  Sun, April 1st or on Mon April 2nd.

Donna Beaubien of Fine Art at the Village has recently been appointed as one of the two Art Directors for  Arts, Beat & Eats!

The opening reception and awards presentation will be at the:

Paint A Miracle - Fundraiser Lunch: Mon May 7th
