Artists in Novi Home Show:  March 28 - 30, 2014 

Although I/ACT as a group was not able to participate in the Novi Spring Home and Garden Show, four of our artists were able to participate on their own!

Paul Wood of Paul Wood Images 
has a solo show of his stunning nature photography called "Vibrant America"  which opened on
March 13th. It is being hosted at the Marie Howard Showroom

Larry Zdeb's  3D art piece called

Scarab Club's Silver Medal show.

Mardi Chapman demo at  SOAA:  Mon Apr 7 at 7pm  

I/ACT artist Mardi Chapman will speak at the next S Oakland Art Assoc meeting. She will give  a presentation about how she creates her beautiful digital mixed media images using Corel Painter, a computer tablet and a stylus.

Mardi's artworks have been displayed in numerous art shows and gallery exhibits including the Michigan Fine Arts Competition.

Pat Shaw in a Birds & Blooms Magazine    
Pat Shaw's photo "Cheery Chickadee" was published in the May/June 2014 issue of
Birds & Blooms magazine. It's on p. 53 as part of a feature called "Bird Tales".

This is the #1 bird & garden magazine with over 1 million subscribers. Pat's photography art has also been accepted by St Joseph Mercy Oakland which has its exclusive art opening Apr 24th at 6pm. I/ACT photographer Patti Cooper-Koerner's photos will also be on display.
Paint A Miracle :  Mon May 5th, 11:30am - 1:30 pm  
Paint a Miracle is an award winning organization that helps people living with disabilities and other challenges through art therapy.  I/ACT artist Cynthia Buchanan is a board member at Paint A Miracle.

"Images of Inspiration"  is an art show/sale, gala lunch and fundraiser which will be held at the Royal Park Hotel. It also celebrates the non-profit's 11th year. .

Langsford Men's Chorus:   May 16 & 18 2014

Langsford Men's Chorus is a world class choral ensemble with over 60 members including I/ACT Board member Larry Keisling who has also participated in their international competitions.

Gifts of Art Call for Entries 2014-2015.

U of M Health Systems is  currently 

accepting proposals for the Aug 2014 - Aug 2015 exhibition year!  

Deadline is May 15th, notifications will be sent by July 15th. 

As one of the first and most comprehensive arts in healthcare programs nationwide, Gifts of Art brings the world of art & music to the University of Michigan Health System.  Their nine galleries display over 50 exhibits a year.  They include 2-D and 3-D spaces that are viewed by approximately 10,000 people a day.  The galleries are some of the most widely visited indoor, non-museum exhibit spaces in the state.   


They are seeking both solo exhibits by individual artists and group exhibits by arts organizations.  


Selections will be made from either online or mailed in submissions (details below)Emailed jpg images or in-person submissions will NOT be considered
